Change is on the wind; whispers of destiny fill thy senses….

Destiny is a strange word, one that brings some to believe in the best of themselves, and others the worst.  It can inspire greatness, or tear us down to the depths of sorrow.  It can shape us, make us something we did not think we could be.  It is something that we are all slaves to or is it something we control and make the best of?  Only you can answer your own questions about destiny; only the individual’s words and deeds lead one’s destiny to be of greatness or deviousness.

Autumn Moot in Kaurath has been called!

The summer is dying, but the life of Kaurath beats strong.  Automn moot has been called, and a gather of nobles and of the people’s of Kaurath will take place in the Gatetown of Celtios from the 12th of September to the 14th.

All our welcome to attend and rejoice in another year’s fruitful bounty.  But there is an air of conservatism in the Nine kingdoms.  Many are holding back and waiting for what the High King’s next move against the Barrowheart, sworn enemy of Kaurath will be.  Will this winter be as tough as the last?  Will the undying strike at us when we are weakest?  Preparations are being made, and discussions will commence that will determine the fate of this kingdom; will you be a part of it?

News from the Nine Kingdoms and its allies

-Her majesty Princess Rutheil Kaurethel, Harani of Innos Hallal, has made great strides in her talks with the Keskaurani.  A few emissaries have even been seen near the capital, conversing with the nobles and allies of the kingdoms.  Harani Rutheil cautions though that talks are fragile, and implores all citizens to make  the Keskaurani feel at ease in our lands.

-The Green Blood Nation has risen to it’s bloody name.  The tribes of Goblins are as united and strong, resisting all of the crown’s attempts to outst them from the land and keep they now hold.  It remains to be seen if the King will move more of his more specialized forces to deal with the problem.  So far, their raids on local villages has prompted the crown to move people to safer locations until their land can once again be secured.

-The great Barbarans tribes, the Ijjen, are fighting for survival.  The barbarians are on the move, and caught in a deadly game of life and death.  The Mandibs are hunting them, and the tribes are dwindling.  What little is known about their nests, mean an impossible fight for the Vanastagg.  Without the assistance of hardened warriors and those sympathetic to their way of life, they will vanish, and then what of their enemy, the Mandibs?  Will their appitate be satiated or will they turn to something else?  This foe must be stopped and too little is known on how to deal with them.  The King will surely call for assistance for his totematic people so closely tied to his lost love, the High Queen Arianith.

-The call has gone out for those wishing to embark on the path of Nobility.  Tests will be conducted by the Lord Alastair Dunvegan, High Magistrate to the crown.  The autumn moot will serve host to some of these tests.

-Dwarves from the Kulta Kerros kingdom have ventured from their mountain homes to walk in Harcos this summer.  Trading their metals for delicacies such as woodland pheasant, salted sunfish, and golden apples, they wait for the harvest to negotiate with local farmers on bulk of their staple foods.

-Gythani excavations of the swamp continue in a fevered rush to beat the frosts that will inevitably slow or halt their diggings until the thaw.   Not much is known about their findings, but it is clear that a lot of Gythani are taking time away from their towers to help with this project.

-Kasember nights are alight with candles to honor Stephanos, their Prince’s return.  Although is seems that some of the Vaelta are reluctant to put their trust him, his support seems to grow daily - or nightly one should say.

-Strength and Tyranny in the Western Range.  The being known as Strength and Tyranny has been ravaging across the Western Mountain Range.  Most recently, he has been seen destroying parts of the deserted Redmond Valley.  Abandoned after an aftershock and subsequent mud slides from the Great Firey Mountain destroyed the farming land there, the once prosperous tea–growing valley remains a ghostly place.  What the monster is doing there is anyone’s guess.

-The Siltamuuri Wall.  The wall stands, even as the forces of the Barrowheart still eye it with jealousy.  Only three coordinated attacks have taken place, and the purpose of them is unknown to even the most brilliant of our military leaders.  The Order of Korlin leaders are at somewhat of a loss, but with daily skirmishes, The Barrowheart keeps them guessing at their motives.

-Unrest in the great forest of Haltia.  Reports of strange occurrences are coming in from the Haltia woods.  Some have reported that a great sense of unease accompanies them while they make there way though the wooded paths from village to village.  In the rural communities, mixed reports are surfacing.  Tales of people are disappearing from their beds at night-screaming while being dragged and pulled into the deep forests have come to grace the lips of the bards.  The village elders warn of restless sprits, woken by the recent upset of the forests.  They state that too much has been taken and not enough given and caution their children of working the land too hard.  There have also been an unusual amount of thunderstorms in Haltia, again stated to be the work of restless sprits.
